What is your success and/or achievement?
I have lost over 100 pounds through diet and exercise.
What methods did you use to achieve success?
When I first starting losing weight I started by walking around campus once a day. As I lost more weight, I then became comfortable joining a gym. After joining a gym, I started participating in group exercise classes and I ultimately went on to become a personal trainer and group exercise instructor myself.
What words of wisdom would you offer others?
Don’t be too hard on yourself! It’s important to remember that weight loss and wellness are journeys and not destinations. What works for me might not be best for the next person. Take the time to find out what methods work best for you in regard to nutrition and exercise.
What was the most challenging thing you had to deal with during your weight loss journey?
The hardest thing was to stop myself from dropping by StarBucks to get one of their nice coffee portions together with a doughnut or that sort of stuff.
