What methods did you use to achieve success?

Trained to compete in a bodybuilding competition.

Stuck to a strict meal plan that consisted of high protein such as fish and chicken, low cards with sweet potatoes and white rice, and vegetables. Vegetables were zucchini, spinach, green beans, asparagus, and cauliflower.

What words of wisdom would you offer others?

Find your why. For years i wanted to lose weight but never had the discipline or consistency to stick with it. I’ve always worked out but my diet wasn’t the best. I didn’t know what foods worked best for my blood type. Now that I know which foods my body digests and burns the best, I plan my food around that.

Once you find your why, you will be willing to sacrifice your old habits in order to reach your goal. Even when you don’t see results right away, keep going. Your future self will be glad you didn’t give up!

What was the most challenging thing you had to deal with during your weight loss journey and how did you overcome it?

Cutting down on my social life with going out to restaurants to indulge and not drink alcohol was the most challenging.

I had to learn how to trust myself around food. In the beginning, I couldn’t be in a social setting and not “cheat”. Now, I have the willpower to just say no thanks. Is it hard, all of the time. But it has gotten easier because I know how much work I put in and I’m just not willing to jeopardize it for a second if satisfaction. So, I’ve learned to eat for fuel, not always for enjoyment.
